Remembering Dylan Rieder

WORDS BY: Ariela Kozin

We were gutted to hear Dylan Rieder passed away after a two year-long battle with leukemia. The 28-year-old accomplished had already so much and was a true inspiration to the creative entrepreneurial world. When he wasn’t making skating stylish or modeling for a global campaign, Dylan found other ways to create. He began his entrepreneurial career with a line of shoes for his skate sponsor, Huf Worldwide.

Then came The Hunt NYC.  Alongside Jake Lamagnoand and Steven Ditchkus, Dylan founded the storefront to exhibit the dark side of Americana. The e-commerce store makes it easy to get a piece of Dylan’s fierce style, but the IRL shop is a true unique experience manifested by Dylan and friends. Browsing the store is like a treasure hunt—the dimly lit rooms are stacked with oddities like snake taxidermy and vintage anatomical diagrams among a scattering of limited edition trinkets, apparel, and accessories. We say the best way to remember Dylan is to snag a piece of his passion project for yourself.
