Top tracks of 2018 so far

PORCHES - LEAVE THE HOUSE

This pulsating lil’ club riff is highly addictive. Put on this bugged out festival type and drive very fast you will feel like you’re in a cool teen movie where everyone is living in the moment.
:

LSDXOXO - BURN THE WITCH

This is one of my favorite artists to play out, I’ve had at least one LSDXOXO track in each of my sets over the last 2 years. Definitely a tough artist to pin down to a specific style, but dynamic club flips of memorable vocals and riffs seem to be the unifying trait.

ALICE GLASS - FORGIVENESS

Alice Glass channeling serious euro 90s Four on the Floor vibes here. Watching this video I am visibly shook due to the spider in the beginning, this is Blair Witch at Berghain.

:

INKKE - SIMMER W/ SKEPTA + D DOUBLE E

The first 45 seconds of this track are merciless. Skepta ending his verse by breaking down an english breakfast makes this verse a top contender for my 2018 and we only 22 days in.

LONE - TEMPLES

Back in 2012 I got a chance to watch Lone play in Belgium, I remember we got some weed from these kids who threw it on stage and the whole time I was zooted, moving solo side stage thinking about how much better dance music sounds in Europe.

:

SOCCER MOMMY - YOUR DOG

I only started listening to Sophie Allison’s “Soccer Mommy” project a couple months ago, but her album Collection is one of my favorite records from 2017. This track is the first follow up single from her last album and has been on repeat for the last week.

:

MOANING - ARTIFICIAL

Moaning is a three piece out of LA that I also only recently discovered. Artificial is the first track off their upcoming debut album and the sub pop, dark/doom riffs remind me of Greg Sage’s band ‘Wipers’, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for these dogs.

:

TURNSTILE - MOON

The energy in Turnstile’s music is unparalleled, I need to go to one of these shows, man. What am I doing. I haven’t seen these guys live once and I listen to their music almost everyday. What does that say about me? What am I DOING.
:

BAAUER - DEC. 11

Baauer has like five different styles of music in this single track and it all blends together seamlessly. He even has a little trance prayer that goes straight into machine gun drum annihilation. Righteous.
