The Best New TV Streaming Right Now

The Fall season means chillier nights and a slew of  TV premieres. Going through site after site to find the next binge-worthy show is too much work after a long day at the office—that’s why you’ve got us to guide you. Here are our top three new shows streaming on a WiFi connection near you:

1. I Love Dick

No, this isn’t a porno. I Love Dick is the latest Amazon original series—based on the novel by the same name—about an unraveling couple who grow equally obsessed with a man named Dick. We’re addicted and we’ve only seen the first episode. The pilot, starring a weirdly charming Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Hahn, was part of Amazon’s pilot season survey. Don’t worry, the comedy got such good feedback that an entire season is now on its way and its no wonder—the plot is so unique that it makes it impossible to predict where it will go.

2. Insecure

Issa Rae doesn’t just star in this on-point new HBO sitcom, but she also created the show.  The uninhibited comedian began her career with YouTube series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl before being approached to collaborate with Pharrell Williams and Shonda Rhimes. Now she portrays a totally relatable woman trying to survive a less-than fulfilling job, relationships, and friendships. Yes, the story described might sound familiar, but this is spun in a completely new way and with an African American woman behind and in front of the whole production.

3. Luke Cage

Luke Cage is damn good TV. The Netflix series is a Marvel Comics adaptation that tells the story a man given super-strength and invincibility after an experiment gone wrong. Following imprisonment for a crime he didn’t commit, Luke dedicates his life to fighting crime in Harlem. The story is politically relevant and action-packed.  Also, we must mention star Mike Colter is very, very nice to look at.
