I first met Jenny Le at Opening Ceremony back in 2012, my mouth dropped the moment I saw her. Her presence is undeniable. She is so confident with the way she dresses and her powerful under eye makeup is immediately alluring. We sat down with Jenny to talk about her current favorite products and beauty philosophy.

What’s your occupation?

I’m a Retail Director over at Opening Ceremony.

How did you get into the fashion industry?

Humberto Leon & Carol Lim are good friends of mine and contacted me to join the team.

Tell me about your beauty routine?

It’s pretty simple a morning scrub, mask, moisturizer, mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick is all I need.

What was your first experience with makeup?

I was heavy into the gothic movement at age nine and make up was a part of my expression. I also grew up with my father who is gay and had a transgender lover who I would put makeup on.

Who or what do you look at for your beauty inspiration?

Indigenous tribal women from Sapa Mountains to Berber women.

What are your 5 top beauty products that you can’t live without?

King’s Tree Lotion, Ole Hendricksen Truth Creme Advanced Hydration, Dr. Hauschka Rose Creme, Aesop Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste, Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Gel, Lancome Artliner, and Balmain”Liberation” color lipstick…that is more than 5…sorry!

If you could make your own fragrance what would it smell like?

I actually do make my own fragrance: geranium rose, black pepper, patchouli, neroli.
