25 Years of Self Service Magazine

For 25 years now, Self Service magazine has been a cult staple in fashion, showcasing the true artistry of every aspect of the industry. They not only highlight the front-runner photographers and top designers, Self Service is probably one of the only publications that also highlights the talent behind the scenes.

In conjunction with the anniversary, the magazine is releasing two books published by IDEA: “Self Service, 1994-2019, the Ads,” which is quite self-explanatory and “The Vintage You,” a 126-page book featuring portraits of SS friends and collaborators — like David Sims, Carine Roitfeld and Alasdair McLellan — when they were young.

Self Service has also installed an exhibition at the Dallas Contemporary, highlighting and collaging some of the greatest works they’ve put out. Imagery includes pieces from all of the greats, such as Inez and Vinoodh, Juergen Teller and Helmut Lang. The show is up until mid-August — giving you plenty of time to book your trip to the heart of Texas.
